The CVTech LP3 secondary variator locking tool holds the clutch in place while you loosen or tighten the variator bolts. Without a secure grip, the clutch spins along with the bolt, making it impossible to safely loosen it on your own.

The tool is designed specifically for ATVs fitted with a CVTech LP3 clutch/variator and works with both single- and twin-cylinder engines.

It does not fit GEN3 or newer models, which use the Omnidrive variator.
